Elisabeth Walther-Bense (1922-2018) was a German semiotician. She also worked as a writer and editor, editor, translator (from English, French, Portuguese). She was a collaborator in the work of her doctoral supervisor, employer, friend, colleague and from 1988 husband Max Bense.
